Joel Tabin and his team have served as regional partners for financial professionals in the Mid-Atlantic Region of the U.S. for the past 15 years. Being relationship driven, Joel has partnered with hundreds of financial professionals and helped them grow their life insurance business.

About Joel

Joel serves as Regional Sales Director for Midland National, supporting independent agents throughout the states of Delaware, Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia, since October 2002. Joel has served in this role for 15 years and has been with Midland National for almost 20 years. 

Joel, along with his team members Tim Doherty and Melissa Cunningham, provides a dynamic regional support office for financial professionals in the area who want to grow. They offer “Lunch and Learns” around the region on a regular basis as well as one-on-one counseling, mentoring and motivation. Partnering with Joel and his team is one way a financial professional can discover new opportunities in their book of business that they didn’t know existed and bring more value to their clients.





Background

Joel joined Midland National in July 1998 and served as a General Agent before becoming a Regional Sales Director in October 2002. He was honored as Outstanding New Regional Sales Director in 2005. Joel got his start in the business serving as a Life and Health Agent for John Hancock Financial Services.




Education & Certification

Joel received his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Political Science from Northwestern University. Joel has his certification as a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) from the American College. He holds his FINRA Series 6, 63, 7, 24 and 65 licenses, as well as licenses in Life and Health.




Personal

Joel lives in Silver Spring, Maryland with his wife and two kids. They are active in their local community and enjoy spending time with family and friends. He’s a big baseball fan.
